Nelson is a generative AI research assistant that understands how to associate your questions or prompts with the content he needs to give you the best possible answers for your research in Latin America. He knows all of the below content, so just sign up for access if you’d prefer to just talk to him.

Nelson only works with content that the team curates for him. 

• He benefits from having been trained on 20 years of proprietary Southern Pulse data. Nelson also receives a daily diet of curated information the team selects for him to read. 
• And Nelson also reads the news from a curated list of online, open sources that the team trusts.
• Overtime, Nelson will also benefit from proprietary data shared through partnerships.

If Nelson doesn’t know the answer, he’ll tell you. 

• He’s not going to try to offer you an educated guess, so don’t worry about him making stuff up. Depending on your prompt, he may offer you some options on where to go to find what you need. 
• And you can always leave feedback for Nelson directly in the app by pressing on the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" icon.

Nelson’s answers are limited by a number of characters and the format of the answer. 

• He’s going to give you the best possible answer given his character limitations for each prompt. This is why we encourage you to iterate with Nelson. 
• Ask him questions based on the answers he’s giving you. 
• You have an unlimited number of questions available to you, so please be generous with Nelson and feed him a lot.

Nelson may try to write you a memo if you ask him to. 

• But memos or longer reports require more sophisticated prompting.
• If you're comfortable with your prompting, then give it a try.  

Nelson understands all languages, but is best with Roman character-based language systems. 

• Nelson will respond in the language you use.
• Otherwise, he is happy to work with you in English.

Nelson does keep a record of your chat history. 

• Chats are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that the  team is as accurate as possible when curating information for you.

Nelson does know a lot of people in the world, but he’s not trained for due diligence.

• Though the team will continue to prepare and feed Nelson profiles on people of note and of interest in Latin America, Nelson does not have a way to go out and look for information on people or companies beyond what exists in his database.

• Our team ensures that Nelson’s knowledge gaps are consistently addressed.
